Teresa Eckmann
Administrative/Office Manager

Teresa has been employed with Advanced Prosthetics Center since September of 2004 orchestrating all administrative responsibilities. Prior to working in healthcare she was a crop insurance underwriter for American Agrisurance. Teresa made the move to healthcare 15+ years ago by accepting employment in the medical records department of an area hospital. Teresa has held various healthcare administrative positions over this time from Home Health to prosthetics.

I have found it exceptionally rewarding to work at Advanced Prosthetics Center. The team that we have is above and beyond the true meaning of “Advanced”. Teresa’s current plans are to complete her degree in Business Administration/Accounting at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Ben Higginbotham
Administrative Coordinator
Ben was born and raised in Neola, IA. Before accepting a position with Advanced Prosthetics Center, Ben worked in the retail industry holding various lead supervisor and assistant management positions. Ben’s current duties include general office administration, Medicare compliance oversight and physical therapy billing. Ben is currently completing course work at Iowa Western Community College and he is looking forward to transferring to the University of Nebraska at Omaha to begin course work for engineering. Ben’s hopes to eventually transfer to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida to specialize in Aerospace Engineering.

Rita Cary
Receptionist

Rita started working at Advanced Prosthetics Center in the summer of 2009 but she has been assisting clients in both financial and real estate services for the past 18 years. From 2001-2009, Rita worked for a nationwide non-profit organization whose main focus was to provide housing and day services to individuals with various developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities. Specifically, Rita purchased and sold real estate and land which was then developed and renovated to fit her company’s clients’ specific needs. Because Rita enjoys helping people immensely, her love for people has brought her to her current job at Advanced Prosthetics Center where she can continue to assist people who may be experiencing physical limitations. Rita is currently responsible for coordinating therapy and prosthetic appointments for the clinical staff, she provides assistance to therapists and also assists with various office administrative duties. She enjoys greeting each patient with a smile and visiting with them while they wait to see their provider. In addition, Rita has realized that her true passion lies in helping people in a clinical setting.
